UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, seeks a Clinical Nurse RN to support the GI Lab, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care. You will assist in endoscopic and GI procedures, perform liver biopsies, manometry, 24-hour pH, pill cam, and paracentesis, with moderate sedation as needed.

The role requires Missouri RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of critical care or related experience.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• BSN or ADN degree.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care or related experience (ICU/CCU/GI/PACU/ED).

Responsabilités

• Assess and care for patients undergoing GI procedures pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Assist in endoscopic and GI procedures including liver biopsies, anorectal and esophageal manometry, 24-hour pH, pill cam, and paracentesis.
• Provide moderate sedation if needed.
• Set up equipment, record patient data, and monitor patients during procedures.
• Be part of on-call team after hours, weekends, and holidays; initiate emergency interventions as needed.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
