Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital, part of Advocate Health, seeks a GI Lab RN to support patient care in the GI suite. The role covers weekdays 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with occasional weekend Saturday coverage. This is a part-time position focused on safe, evidence-based nursing practice and teamwork.

The RN will apply the nursing process, document in the EHR, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining professional standards and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact or in-state privileges.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience typically required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
