Job summary

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support patient care for endoscopy services. You will prepare the field, obtain equipment, and assist physicians and registered nurses, while upholding safety standards.

The role offers a career-ladder path, with duties ranging from standard to complex per education and certification, and Mercy’s mission and service standards guide daily work. Full-time schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:30 pm,

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: Participate in lower acuity cases and/or high-level disinfection; complete one Endoscopy competency.
• Certifications: American Heart Association BLS is required.
• English: Must understand English both written and spoken.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City

Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Schedule: 4 10-hr shifts/week Monday-Friday 8a-6:30p

Overview:

Maintains professional accountability and technical support for provision of patient care for the endoscopy patients experience. As directed, may be preparing the endoscopy field, obtain needed equipment uphold patient safety standards and assist the physician and registered nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted on the career ladder program. These duties may range from limited to overly complex. All duties are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required. You may be asked to provide proof of education.

• Experience: Can successfully participate in lower patient acuity cases AND/OR high-level disinfection; must complete one basic competency: either Endoscopy Tech in Scope room competency OR Endoscopy Tech in Procedure Competency.

• Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to perform job-related functions safely and successfully, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.

This is a career-ladder position. The level at which the successful candidate is hired will be determined based on education, certification/licensure, and relevant experience.
