Job summary

Mercy Oklahoma City is seeking a registered nurse to join our inpatient endoscopy and outpatient digestive health programs. This full-time role features four 10-hour shifts per week (8:00 a.m.

– 6:30 p.m.) and rotation between inpatient endoscopy and Mercy's new outpatient digestive health institute. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality, coordinating care with other departments, and maintaining professional accountability for patient

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Preferred Experience: 2 years of critical-care nursing experience.
• License: current RN license in our state.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts/week (8a-6:30p)

This position will have the opportunity to rotate between our inpatient endoscopy department (Outpatient Diagnostics) and Mercy's new outpatient digestive health institute (Kathryn Ann Meinders)!

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing

• Preferred Experience:2 years of critical-care nursing experience

• License: current RN license in our state

• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
