Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking an Endoscopy Technician at Jewish Hospital.

Under supervision of a licensed practitioner, you will assist during GI procedures, set up rooms, reprocess and sterilize scopes, and manage instruments and supplies. You will provide direct patient care before, during and after procedures, maintain sterile fields, assist physicians and nursing staff, and help with specimen collection and labeling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate is required.
• One-year experience in operating room or Endoscopy suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists GI procedures, including patient positioning and scope guidance.
• Provides direct patient care during and after procedures.
• cleans, sterilizes and reprocesses scope equipment.
• Assembles sterile supplies and assists with room setup and tear down.
• Maintains inventory and assists with documentation of disinfection solutions and endoscope processing cycles.
