Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a G.I. Technician for the Endoscopy unit in Chicago. The role involves assisting physicians during invasive GI procedures, handing instruments and supplies, and supporting a high standard of patient care across age groups.

Requirements include a high school diploma, GI-related training with 2 years' experience preferred, and current BLS certification. Full-time days with rotating call are offered with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of GI training with a minimum of 2 years GI experience preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and to be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician as scrub assistant during invasive GI procedures.
• Hand sterilized instruments, scopes and supplies to the physician without delay.
• Support co-workers in delivering continuous, quality patient care to all age groups.
• Adhere to hospital policies, participate in Performance Improvement activities, and serve as a resource when appropriate.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

GI setting experience preferred (minimum 2 years)

Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire
