Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Anaheim is seeking a part-time Vocational Nurse to provide clinical support in GI/endoscopy under supervision. You will perform venipuncture, assist physicians, prepare rooms and coordinate procedures.

Requirements include CA Vocational Nurse License, BLS, IV certification, and one year acute/ambulatory experience. Weekend/night call, Saturday schedule, and cross-site GI coverage are required; probation training is provided.

Qualifications

One (1) year experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting assisting in the performance of endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

Obtain patient specimens and perform venipuncture and skin punctures.
Assist physicians and medical staff with endoscopy/GI procedures and related tasks.
Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies for procedures.
Maintain infection control procedures and chart patient data.
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups.
Respond to emergencies and assist in procedure rooms as needed.
