Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced GI services area. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, assisting with intraprocedural support, specimen handling, and room setup.

The role involves lifting, positioning, and performing routine duties with a focus on safety and quality of care. Weekend on-call rotation is required, with shifts typically 8 hours and variable start times.

Qualifications

• Typically requires CNA experience and ability to assist nurses and physicians.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills for documentation.
• Strong communication and patient-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under RN or physician supervision.
• Support physicians with specimen handling and lab transportation.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment; maintain inventory and records.
• Position and transport patients safely; ensure infection control procedures are followed.
