Job summary

HCA HealthONE in Denver, CO is seeking a GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse. Evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, educate families, manage IV therapy and preoperative meds, and ensure surgical site verification in a fast-paced OR setting.

Requires Colorado RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS/ENPC desired, BSN desirable, and at least one year of Endoscopy/Day Surgery/PACU or ED experience. On-site benefits ensure patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license or multi-state license is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications are desirable.
• BSN desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and educate families about procedures.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds and site verification.
• Participate in site briefing, time-out, debriefing and universal protocols.
• Recognize emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care and workflow.
