Job summary

GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse at HCA HealthONE Aurora is a PRN role focused on caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will supervise endoscopy staff and assist in sedation for pulmonary procedures, while serving diverse age groups including adults and pediatrics.

Current CO RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS/ENPC are desirable. A BSN is preferred and at least one year of GI/endoscopy or related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS, PALS and/or ENPC certifications desired.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN desirable.
• One (1) year minimum Endoscopy, Day Surgery, PACU, Critical Care or Emergency Department experience.
• 1 Year previous GI experience is required for the PRN role.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs the care of the patient undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Serve specific age groups, which may include adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations.
• Assist in sedation with pulmonary patients/procedures.
• Supervise endoscopy technicians.
• You may rotate to areas other than Endoscopy, and you will perform only those duties for which you have demonstrated competency.
