Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. The role emphasizes coordination with a medical team, documentation, and continuous improvement to patient outcomes.

The position requires an RN license, BLS, and 1+ year of acute care experience; BSN preferred. Part-time daytime shifts with a dynamic hospital environment are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS CPR certified.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and document in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and intervene to improve outcomes; ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and supervise care by team members; respond to code situations promptly.
