Job summary

The Oregon Clinic in Portland, OR is hiring a full-time Clinic Assistant Manager for GI at the NE Portland East Clinic. You will lead a team, support the Clinic Manager, and help deliver high-value, patient-centered care in a collaborative gastroenterology setting.

The role requires prior supervisory and medical office experience, understanding of revenue cycle processes, and strong communication. Occasional travel to the Happy Valley location and hybrid remote options after training are noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum of three years of medical office experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes.
• Prior EMR experience; Epic is a plus.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients and team.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Directly assists the Clinic Manager in providing leadership and excellent customer service examples for staff.
• Supervises and coordinates front desk registration, financial counselors, medical records and scheduling.
• Assists with hiring, orientation, training, and mentoring of clinic staff.
• Communicates regularly with the Clinic Manager on departmental issues.
• Helps ensure compliance with TOC policies and regulatory standards.
• Functions as the primary liaison between patients, clinic staff, physicians, and non-physician providers.
• Other duties as assigned.
