Job summary

IHA is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN for the GI Clinic in Waterloo, IA. This full-time, day-shift position (40 hours/week, M-F) supports the clinical practice with a mix of administrative and clinical tasks and patient care assistance.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, vital signs, documentation, and basic procedures, along with coordinating patient flow and ensuring accurate records and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• Must have completed an accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing administrative and clinical tasks.
• Assists physicians and other providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow, maintains accurate medical records, and contributes to a positive patient experience.
