Job summary

MercyOne Waterloo is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN for our Gastro Clinic in Waterloo, IA. This full-time, day-shift role supports clinical operations by performing administrative and clinical tasks, assisting physicians, and coordinating patient flow to ensure a positive experience.

Qualified candidates have an accredited MA program (or LPN program) and either MA certification/registration or LPN license in Iowa.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks.
• Assists physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
