Job summary

Ridgecrest Regional Hospital in Ridgecrest, CA, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for its GI Clinic. You will support patient flow in scheduled clinics, provide nursing care in a team-based primary care setting, and collaborate with clinic, office, contract, and volunteer staff.

You will care for insured and uninsured patients, with emphasis on barriers to care. RRH values quality, respect, integrity, and compassionate service and offers a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current LVN licensure to practice in California.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.
• BLS certification required and maintained.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of asepsis and sterilization principles.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Demonstrated maturity and careful judgment.
• Commitment to Service Excellence with patients, families, and coworkers.

About this position

We’re looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse who is excited to support RRH’s mission, organizational goals, quality standards, and commitment to patient-centered care. In this role, you’ll help ensure the efficient and effective flow of patients during scheduled clinics, provide nursing support within a team-based primary care environment, and work collaboratively with clinic, office, contract, and volunteer staff.

You’ll serve insured and uninsured children and/or adults, with special attention to individuals who experience barriers to accessing care due to income, language, cultural, or social factors. • Function as an LVN within a team-based, patient-centered primary care clinic serving insured and uninsured children and/or adults.

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including team members, patients, volunteers, students, visitors, and vendors.

• Protect the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of patients and their families, as well as co-workers and others.

• Work in other departments as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
