Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory GI clinic in Raleigh, NC, aligning with medical and nursing plans of care and established policies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN or ADN or nursing diploma program.
• Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS required.
• Minimum 12 months of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care in an ambulatory/endoscopy setting under physician orders and policies.
• Collect and analyze patient data in endoscopy areas including pre-op, procedure rooms and recovery.
• Recommend and evaluate nursing care plans, communicate actions and patient responses.
• Delegate tasks to other staff and assist in delivery of care.
• Maintain environment of care and participate in professional development activities.
• Assist in specimen collection and data entry into the lab system.
