Job summary

Kiavets in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the role of Automotive Service Technician. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program, which provides hands-on experience and training to transition Veterans into the automotive industry.

The successful candidate will work full-time while gaining skills necessary to diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles. Applicants must have an honorable discharge from U.S. Military Service and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Willingness to complete background check and drug screening

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Education
