Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Gastroenterology & Hepatology division is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to deliver specialty outpatient GI care. The APP will join a multidisciplinary team at Menomonee Falls Hospital, with occasional coverage at Froedtert West Bend Hospital.

Responsibilities include performing procedures, documenting in Epic, educating patients, and supporting quality initiatives within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant credentials.
• BLS certification and DEA eligibility.
• State APRN/PA license and national certification (NP or PA).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in outpatient GI care as part of the GI team.
• Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests; document results.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on disease, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Document thoroughly in the EMR (Epic) and communicate results to the care team.
• Contribute to quality improvement and outcomes dashboards; monitor quality indicators.
• Provide inpatient GI consult coverage at Menomonee Falls and West Bend as needed.
