Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to deliver specialty medical care within the inpatient setting at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI. The APP works as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care, safety, and teaching.

Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting tests, coordinating care, and educating patients and families about disease

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or PA studies is required.
• Wisconsin APRN license and RN license are required or eligible.
• NCCPA certification or APRN/Nursing board credentials as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in diagnosis and treatment for inpatient GI/Hepatology patients.
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams.
• Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic tests; document in EPIC.
• Educate patients and families about disease and treatment plans.
• Contribute to quality improvement and outcomes dashboards.
