Anticimex is seeking a Residential Pest Control Technician to inspect, identify, and treat residential properties in the West Palm Beach area. The role involves delivering service calls, initial treatments, and recurring pest control for customers, with flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently, manage route-based work, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and treat residential properties for pest control.
• Perform interior and exterior inspections to identify conditions conducive to pests.
• Drive company vehicle safely and maintain PPE.
• Walk up to 7 miles per day and manage daily route.
• Provide customers with information about services and perform service calls as needed.
• Solve problems and resolve customer complaints.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

TheResidential Pest Control (GHP)Technician position is toinspect,identify, and provide treatments in the form ofservice calls, initial services, andrecurringpest control servicesfor residential customers.They may also provide overflow coverage of recurring services asdeemednecessary by management. These technicians’days canvary by service area and location daily and require flexible scheduling day by day.

Duties include:

• Providequalityand effective pest detection,eliminationand prevention solutions to an established route of residential customers

• Conduct interior and exterior inspections toidentifyconditions conducive to pests

• Safely driving a company vehicle

• Long periodsof walking, kneeling, squatting. Could involve walking up to 7 miles per day.

• Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers

• Use of handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls and documents

• Provide customers with general information about ourvarious services

• Conduct service calls as needed

• Problem solving and/or complaint resolution

• Be able to withstandlong periodsof squatting,standingand walking; including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases.

• Be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

• Safe use of portable ladders within the manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA regulations.

• Have excellent listening and communication skills

• Performs other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates will:

• Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Be able to calculate basic mathematic equations

• Nothavea fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, etc.

• Nothavea fear of tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics

• Be able to withstandlong periodsof squatting,standingand walking; including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases.

• Be able to lift/move up to 50lbs

• Safe use of portable ladders within the manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA regulations

• Have excellent listening and communication skills

• Be competent with the use ofnew technology

• Be organized and able to manage their own daily route

• Be able to navigate their daily route with GPS

• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safetyregulations
