Job summary

ECOSMART PEST SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking a Pest Control Technician to establish effective relationships with customers and partner on best practices to solve pest problems. You will use handheld equipment to document structural and pest issues and work across a route that includes Tampa and surrounding areas.

This position is classified as heavy work and requires lifting up to 50 pounds, maintaining a clean vehicle, and being on-call for off-hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years work or military experience.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR and ability to maintain company vehicle and equipment.
• Must be 18 years or older and willing to be on-call during off hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect interiors and exteriors for signs of infestation.
• Determine pest types and best treatment options.
• Measure treatment areas and prepare bids with estimated costs.
• Implement pest control methods and safely apply pesticides.

What is expected of you:

• Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues.
• This position is classified as heavy work

Position Details:

• Candidate must reside in: Tampa, or surrounding area
• Route territory will include: Tampa, and surrounding area
• Work week and shift: Mon-Sat - (7 am – 5:30 pm).

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years work or military experience
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record, and drive and maintain a company vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to be on-call during off work hours and weekends as necessary
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Physical Demands:

• Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) chest high.
• Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions. And long drives to accounts.
• Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear.
• Must be capable of wearing a respirator
• Possess or able to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to country or state/local law
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen and physical exam upon request.
• Driving long distances to cover jobs or quotes added to your routes
• Daily cleaning of vehicles and weekly washing and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings and the surrounding environment for any signs of infestation
• Determine the types of pests and best possible treatment options
• Measure the size of the areas to be treated
• Create and present bids with the estimated cost of services
• Implement various pest control methods to treat the areas
• Safely apply pesticides

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Pest Control Technician or in a similar position
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing for extended periods, crawling in small spaces, and lifting heavy objects
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols when dealing with potentially hazardous materials
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to maintain detailed records of payment and chemicals used
