Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a detail-oriented Sustainability Analyst to support corporate sustainability reporting, emissions calculations, data quality assurance, and third-party audit processes in San Francisco. The role focuses on GHG inventory management, especially Scope 3, using advanced spreadsheet techniques and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on greenhouse gas accounting or inventory management.
• Strong understanding of Scope 3 methodologies and Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
• Experience in ESG reporting or corporate sustainability calculations.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills with large datasets and quality control.
• Experience preparing audit documentation and supporting evidence.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform GHG emissions calculations for Scope 1, 2, and 3 using established methodologies.
• Analyze, clean, validate, and reconcile large activity datasets for reporting accuracy.
• Apply Scope 3 methods (spend-based, activity-based, hybrid, etc.).
• Develop calculation methodologies, process narratives, and audit-ready records.
• Coordinate with data owners to collect sustainability data and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage data requests and liaise with third-party auditors and assurance reviewers.
• Support external assurance reviews and sustainability disclosure processes.
• Use pivot tables, lookups, and array formulas to perform calculations and QC.
• Identify opportunities to improve GHG accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
