Position Summary

The Get Real and Heel Cancer Exercise Trainer will be responsible for delivering exercise programming to people affected by cancer in our facility on UNC's campus. Our program provides 16 weeks of twice weekly cardio, strength, flexibility, and balance training to people affected by cancer.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Associate's degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

• Background in exercise and sport science
• Personal training experience with clinical populations
• CPR certification
• First Aid certification

Special Physical/Mental Requirements

Ability to move up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
