Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Chief Nursing Officer in leading the patient care team, ensuring safety, recovery and comfort through the nursing process. The RN will work with department leaders to improve unit services and patient outcomes in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities include supervising care delivery, precepting new staff, teaching nursing students, and ensuring compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Title 22, and CDPH

Qualifications

• Graduation from Registered Nurse Program.
• California RN license.
• BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS; PALS as applicable per unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of practice.
• Lead and collaborate with the patient care team to ensure safety, recovery and comfort.
• Support quality improvement and department growth initiatives.
• Precept new hires and validate competency; teach nursing students.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Title 22, CDPH and other standards.
