Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC, in partnership with USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to support the Chief Nursing Officer in leading the patient care team. You will implement the nursing process, develop and educate care plans, and advocate for safety and comfort for patients throughout their hospital stay.

The role requires California RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a BSN preferred with a minimum of 1 year acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Mastery of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, plan of care, education and evaluation.
• Ability to advocate for patients and educate families.
• Capability to lead and collaborate with nursing and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Chief Nursing Officer and lead the patient care team to ensure safety, recovery and comfort.
• Assist with planning, coordination, and delegation of patient care activities.
• Precept new hires and validate competencies; mentor nursing students.
