Mercor is seeking experienced German Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project conducted in partnership with a leading research lab. You will evaluate how effectively a large language model performs in German-language tasks and curate high-quality German linguistic data to improve model understanding and generation.

The role requires native or near-native German, experience in translation/editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work, and keen attention to detail.

Qualificações

• Native German with excellent grammar, syntax, and style.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in German.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances and regional variations.
• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate the quality and accuracy of LLM-generated German text across use cases (translation, summarization, dialogue, grammar corrections).
• Edit, refine, or rewrite German content to meet linguistic and cultural standards.
• Annotate German text for grammatical, syntactic, and semantic features.
• Identify model errors and language gaps; collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance.
• Provide detailed linguistic feedback to guide model training.
