Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital in the Philadelphia area seeks a full‑time Geriatrics Physician to practice clinically and serve as the Program Director for the Geriatrics Fellowship. The role combines patient care leadership with oversight of ACGME accreditation and curriculum development.

You will lead faculty, supervise fellows, and advance education, quality improvement, and scholarly activity while collaborating with Jefferson Health education leaders to support excellence in care for older

Qualifications

• MD or DO is required.
• Minimum of three years of faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Geriatric Medicine fellowship or related residency.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.
• Board certification in Geriatric Medicine (ABIM/ABFM).
• Experience with graduate medical education and trainee evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the ACGME-designated Program Director with authority for all components of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship.
• Ensures ongoing compliance with ACGME requirements and site visits in collaboration with GME leadership.
• Develops and maintains a structured curriculum meeting competencies and milestones for Geriatric Medicine.
• Leads recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of fellows using milestones and COM processes.
• Oversees program evaluation, scholarly activity, and collaboration with institutional departments.
