Job summary

The WPB VA is seeking an Attending Physician and Palliative care provider in the Geriatrics and Extended Care service for the community living center and outpatient care. The incumbent will deliver Hospice, Palliative care and Geriatrics for veterans enrolled in the VAHWB Health care system and will teach in our Hospice & Palliative care and Geriatrics fellowship programs.

The role emphasizes leadership in patient care, education, and program compliance with VHA guidelines, while collaborating

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Board certification in Geriatrics, Palliative Care/Hospice, or Internal Medicine/Family Practice with geriatrics experience.

Responsibilities

• Open continuous vacancy; reference recruitment actions until filled.
• Provide Hospice, Palliative care and Geriatrics clinical services to veterans.
• Serve as Attending Physician for inpatient CLC and outpatient care.
• Contribute to teaching Hospice, Palliative care and Geriatrics fellowship programs.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with VHA guidelines and directives.
