Job summary

CenterWell in The Villages, a Humana Inc. subsidiary, is seeking a Primary Care Physician for our Santa Barbara Center in The Villages, FL.

This role focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, preventive health, and addressing social determinants of health to improve outcomes in an aging population. You will work 40 hours per week in a patient-facing, onsite setting, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in our TB screening program as part of Humana's care model.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine, board certified or board eligible in geriatrics, family, or internal medicine.
• Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain).
• Current, unrestricted DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Keep a medical history and medical records; refer patients to specialists.
• Influence clinic department strategy and make decisions on moderately to complex issues.

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine (board certified or eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)
