Job summary
Hackensack Meridian Health and the Department of Medicine/Geriatrics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, seek a faculty physician to serve as Associate Director of the Geriatric Consult Service. This role combines clinical care with administrative leadership to expand inpatient and outpatient geriatric consults and develop a co-management program for high-risk surgical patients.
You will work with a dedicated team and partner with the Chief of Geriatrics to grow geriatric
Qualifications
- Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine with a geriatrics credential.
- NJ licensure (or eligible) including DEA and CDS.
- Excellent clinical and teaching skills required.
Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient and outpatient geriatric consultations and follow-up visits.
- Participate in preoperative assessment design for high-risk surgical patients.
- Lead interdisciplinary conferences for high-risk patients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive inpatient assessments for high-risk patients.
- Support medical education for physicians, APPs and residents.
- Explore feasibility of establishing a Geriatric Fellowship Program.
