Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey, part of Hackensack Meridian Health, seeks a faculty physician to serve as Associate Director of the Geriatric Consult Service. This role blends clinical care and administrative leadership to expand inpatient and outpatient geriatric programs and preoperative assessments for high-risk surgical patients.

Qualifications

Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with a geriatrics qualification.
Eligibility for NJ licensure, DEA and CDS.
Excellent clinical and teaching skills.
Experience in cognitive assessment.
Participation in Undergraduate/Graduate Medical Education and CME.

Responsibilities

Perform inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up visits for geriatric patients.
Assist design and implementation of preoperative assessment for high-risk surgical patients.
Participate in interdisciplinary conferences for high-risk patients.
Develop comprehensive inpatient assessment for high-risk medical/surgical patients.
Engage in medical education activities and support residents and APPs.
