Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Fredericksburg VA Health Care Center is seeking a Geriatrics & Extended Care physician to provide patient care in PACT clinics, Home-Based Primary Care, and telehealth settings.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, supervise staff, and participate in quality improvement activities to enhance care for Veterans. The position offers eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), competitive pay, generous time off, federal

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required; non-citizens allowed only per VA policy.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or DC.
• Completion of an approved core specialty training program leading to board eligibility.
• English proficiency in spoken and written form.
• Preferred: 2 years in Geriatrics or Geriatric Primary Care; HBPC experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient, outpatient, HBPC and telehealth services as part of PACT and related programs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and supervise clinical staff.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and scholarly work.
• Complete medical records timely and ensure high standards of patient care.
