Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Coatesville VA Medical Center is seeking a Geriatrics & Extended Care Physician to provide patient-centered care for Veterans in diverse settings.

The role offers EDRP, recruitment and relocation incentives, and a comprehensive rewards package. You will lead geriatric services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support quality and performance initiatives within the medical center.

Qualifications

• Citizen or eligible for appointment under VA policy.
• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US or DC.
• Completed residency in an approved program; board eligibility/-certification as applicable.
• Proficiency in English; VA faculty/academic requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical care for geriatric and extended care patients.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient geriatric services and coordination.
• Prescribe medications and manage care plans with interdisciplinary teams.
• Engage in chart reviews, committee work, and quality improvement.
• Serve as Medical Officer of the Day and maintain credentialing standards.
