St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks a physician to provide medical services in general care and hospital settings.

The physician will deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective care, participate in quality initiatives, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessment, adherence to guidelines, timely communication, and ongoing education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in the area of specialty.
• Board certified or eligible in the area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations of all patients.
• Provide cost‑effective, high‑quality care based on evidence‑based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Demonstrate competency in assessment, treatment, growth and development knowledge, and age‑appropriate communication.
• Communicate with referring physicians, patients, and families in a timely manner.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Evaluate and implement patient health care needs.
• Perform routine exams and obtain patient histories.
• Manage patient treatment programs based on assessment of needs.
• Initiate treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures.
• Review lab results and plan actions accordingly.
• Provide routine health‑maintenance activities for new and established patients.
• Coordinate patient care and make referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with other professionals regarding patient care.
• Coordinate care and family counseling with public/mental health agencies as appropriate.
• Teach wellness habits and educate patients on prevention of health problems.
• Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of all materials and ensure proper release of information.
• Comply with policies regarding safety.
