Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound services to residents in long-term care facilities in Kentucky. This is a part-time position requiring an unrestricted NP license in Kentucky and board certification.
DEA licensure is optional; experience with wound care and EMR systems is preferred. You will diagnose and treat wounds, prescribe medications, order tests, and coordinate care with the facility staff and primary care physician to support optimal
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP license in Kentucky.
- Board certification as NP.
- DEA licensure (Optional).
- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
- Experience in wound care with chronic/complicated wounds.
- Familiar with wound care products and DME.
- Comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds.
- Ability to work with an EMR and interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care residents.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Kentucky law.
- Order and interpret tests and follow up on treatments.
- Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plans.
- Collaborate with the primary care physician.
