Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound NP to deliver comprehensive wound care to residents in long-term care facilities in Kentucky. The role includes prescribing medications, coordinating treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize healing and patient comfort.

Qualified candidates hold a Kentucky NP license and board certification; DEA is optional. Experience with wound VACs and advanced wound care products is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP license in Kentucky.
• Board Certification required.
• DEA licensure (optional).
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
• Experience with chronic, stalled, or infected wounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
• Prescribe medications including controlled substances per KY law.
• Order/review follow-up treatments and diagnostics.
• Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plans.
• Collaborate with primary care physician.
• Work within an interdisciplinary care team.
