Job summary

The Avenue at Broadview Heights is a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing care facility offering a distinctive experience with private suites, a comfortable atmosphere, and comprehensive rehabilitation services to help residents transition from hospital to home.

We are seeking a dedicated Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to lead a compassionate nursing team, oversee care plans and documentation, collaborate with dietary, pharmacy and therapy staff, and ensure safe, high-quality resident care

Qualifications

Must hold RN or LPN license in Ohio.
Genuine interest in geriatric nursing and long-term care.
Ability to make sound clinical and administrative decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating care.

Responsibilities

Promote census growth and monitor its impact on facility success.
Perform rounds and confer with staff to monitor resident care.
Report changes in resident conditions to the DON/Administrative Office.
Collaborate with department heads and consultants (e.g., dietary, pharmacy, therapy).
Supervise nursing staff across all shifts and provide orientation.
Educate staff on documentation requirements for skilled care.
Review and update nursing care plans.
Address nursing issues in the absence of the DON.
Provide floor coverage during staffing shortages.
