Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our care team in Florida. The SLP will assess referred patients, develop rehabilitation plans, and deliver therapy aligned with physician guidance to support patient recovery and acceptance of treatment.

The role requires an accredited degree in Speech-Language Pathology and an active Florida license.

Qualifications

• Must have degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Must hold Florida state license/registration.
• Experience in long-term care/geriatric settings preferred.
• Strong documentation/writing skills.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent patient service and clinical skills.
• Punctuality and professionalism.
• Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care to assess medical condition and functional capacity.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance under physician direction.
• Set realistic, achievable goals; document patient condition; educate patients and families in therapy methods.
