Job summary

Alliance Health Group is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join Willow Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive‑communication disorders.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized plans, delivering direct therapy, collaborating with the care team, documenting progress, and educating staff and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, valid state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
• CCC‑SLP certification from ASHA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive‑communication disorders in residents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions for articulation, language, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, OTs, and social workers to coordinate care and communicate progress to families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, plans, progress, and discharge summaries per policy.
• Support residents and families through counseling and education on communication strategies and swallowing safety.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and attend required meetings.
