Trinity Healthcare Talent Services, LLC is looking for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist-Geriatric to work at our 82 bed long-term care facility in Farmington, Maine. This role focuses on improving the communication and swallowing abilities of elderly residents. You'll conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday with a competitive salary range of $39.50 to $44 per hour, including a weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Experience working with geriatric population preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' communication and swallowing abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and resident goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills.
• Monitor resident progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Provide education and training to residents, family members, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
