Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a permanent, full-time role at an 82-bed skilled nursing facility in Farmington, Maine.

The position offers $39.50–$44.00 per hour with 40 hours per week, weekend rotation, and a focus on cognitive wellness, dementia support, and safe functional communication for residents. New graduates are welcome to apply and join an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Maine SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain.
• ASHA certification or eligibility preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation, cognitive wellness, and dysphagia management.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals.
• Provide skilled therapy for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Support residents with cognitive decline and dementia through targeted interventions.
• Assess swallowing function and provide dysphagia interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with the therapy team on fall-risk management and safety.
