Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Current state license or eligibility for licensure
• CCC from ASHA
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with geriatric population
• Knowledge of common speech, language, and swallowing disorders in older adults
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities in geriatric patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
• Provide therapy and interventions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of speech language pathology
