Good Shepherd Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ashland, OH seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

The role involves developing individualized therapy plans, documenting progress, collaborating with nurses and therapists, and educating residents and families about therapy goals and swallowing safety, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Formación

• Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in adult and geriatric care.
• Empathy, adaptability, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assess residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and social workers to craft care plans.
• Maintain thorough records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Educate residents and families about therapy goals, strategies for maximizing quality of life, and swallowing safety.
