Job summary

The Pavilion at Piketon in Piketon, OH is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) PRN to join the Rehabilitation Services team. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-linguistic skills, voice, and swallowing, and develop individualized treatment plans to support resident goals.

Collaborating with a interdisciplinary team, you will provide skilled therapy, educate residents and families, document services accurately, and participate in care plan meetings.

Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state.
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred (new grads welcome!).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
• Passion for enhancing resident function and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with resident goals and clinical best practices.
• Provide skilled therapy to residents with neurological, cognitive, and age-related impairments.
• Implement dysphagia management and safe-swallow strategies.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
• Document services accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe-swallowing techniques.
• Support quality improvement initiatives within the rehab department.
