Job summary

Glengariff Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat patients in a sub-acute/long-term care setting. The role involves direct patient care, goal-oriented treatment plans, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient function.

The ideal candidate has an accredited SLP program and NY licensure, with strong documentation skills and experience in long-term care preferred. Hours are hourly and compensation up to $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Valid NY professional license and registration required.

• Strong documentation skills and record keeping.
• Proficient in evaluations, progress notes and discharge documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients needing rehabilitation and provide direct care.
• Develop and administer treatment programs with patient-specific goals.
• Document patient condition and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve patient function.
• Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA and Resident Rights.
