Job summary

The Jeffrey & Susan Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody, MA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents, initiate assessments, and develop plans of care in collaboration with the physician and interdisciplinary care team. This PRN, hourly position offers $45.00-$50.00 per hour depending on experience.

Active MA SLP license and 1+ year geriatrics experience required; fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• Active, good-standing MA SLP license.
• 1+ year experience in geriatrics or rehab.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for speech and language disorders, initiate assessments, and develop individualized plans of care with the physician and multidisciplinary care team.
• Provide rehabilitative speech-language therapy services, carry out appropriate interventions, and educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment procedures and supportive activities.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress, responses to therapy, and changes in condition.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members.
• Support patients and families in adapting to physical, mental, and social limitations by providing education, encouragement, and resources to promote independence and continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with agency policies, patient rights, confidentiality, infection control, safety standards, and emergency preparedness while managing workload, scheduling, and priorities effectively.
