Job summary

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a dedicated RN for a Full-Time Day Shift position in our state-of-the-art Health Center in Dublin, Ohio. You will provide 5-Star care, transcribe orders, supervise staff, and contribute to care plans while advocating for geriatric residents.

Qualifications include an Ohio RN license, CPR certification, and at least 6 months’ geriatric/medical-surgical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in Ohio (RN).
• Valid CPR.
• At least six (6) months experience in medical or surgical nursing, preferably with geriatric patients; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of the psychosocial and physical problems of the geriatric population.
• Ability to teach, supervise and motivate nursing staff to ensure appropriate care and rehabilitation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
• No travel required, all within the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide 5-Star care to residents.
• Take and transcribe physicians’ orders; process orders and relay to pharmacy.
• Assist with orientation, teaching and supervision of nursing personnel; report to DON.
• Contribute to resident care plans and restorative nursing principles.
• Admit and orient new residents; follow admission procedures.
• Administer medications and related nursing duties as required.
• Respond to resident emergencies and document actions.
• Support discharge planning and care transitions.
