Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved RN program.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with geriatric and disabled populations preferred.
• Current NJ State RN license required; BLS within 60 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign nursing personnel on the unit.
• Establish nursing care plans in cooperation with the supervisor.
• Implement plans of care for residents.
• Prioritize and complete routine assignments within guidelines and schedules.
• Recognize psychosocial needs and provide emotional support.
• Maintain accurate records on all patients in the unit.
• Identify and report real or potential problems regarding patient care.
• Maintain inventory of medications, equipment, and supplies.
• Record, report, and interpret patient responses to treatment and care.
• Identify and assess changes in patient conditions and report to Charge Nurse/Supervisor.
