Job summary

Sunrise Point Health and Rehab in Rockledge, FL is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders within a skilled nursing setting.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide dysphagia assessments, and collaborate with nursing, dietary, physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate resident care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Current CPR certification, if required by facility policy.
• Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and physician orders
• Providing dysphagia assessments and interventions to promote safe swallowing and appropriate nutrition
• Collaborating with nursing, dietary, physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate resident care
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and treatment goals
• Completing accurate and timely evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries
