Job summary

Downs Care and Rehab in Downs, KS is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. You will monitor residents, administer medications, and oversee NAR staff to ensure care plans are followed, while maintaining HIPPA compliance and patient confidentiality.

The role offers a competitive hourly salary starting at $35 to $38.50/hr, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, FSA, 401(k), PTO, CEU reimbursement, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations
• Desire to work with the elderly
• Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' condition and needs following physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders.
• Ensure narcotic policies and procedures are followed; monitor for side effects.
• Oversee nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure care plans are followed.
• Complete documentation and admit/discharge residents accurately.
• Report bruises, skin tears, or neglect and maintain confidentiality under HIPPA.
